Who the policy is for.

The legal entity that will sign the policy, and the person underwriters should call if they need to ask something.

Your duty of disclosure

Before you enter into this insurance contract, you have a duty under the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth) to tell us anything you know, or could reasonably be expected to know, that may affect an insurer's decision to accept the risk and on what terms. The duty applies until the policy commences, and again each time it is renewed, varied, extended or reinstated.

You do not need to tell us anything that reduces the risk, is common knowledge, that we already know or should know, or that we waive. Failing to comply with the duty may entitle an insurer to reduce a claim, cancel the policy, or in the case of fraudulent non-disclosure, refuse a claim and treat the policy as if it never existed.

How we handle your information

We collect your personal and business information to prepare a quote, market the risk to insurers, and arrange the insurance. We may disclose it to insurers and reinsurers, underwriting agencies, our licensee Metrix Connect Pty Ltd, service providers, and regulators where required by law. Some of these parties may be located overseas.

You are not required to provide the information, but we may not be able to help without it. You can ask for access or correction, or make a complaint, at any time. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
